    Hello,

I need some help regarding the CIMA F1 exam. I took the objective test twice and my score on both attempts was 98. It looks to me very strange. I ended up on the first attempt as being not proficient on the 45% Financial reporting part and than on the 2nd attempt I got not proficient also on the Business Taxation. Do you know if this not proficient part is something mandatory to pass the exam, as if you’re not able to score proficient in all areas, you don’t pass the exam? Is this really bad luck, meaning I was each time 2 points away from taking the pass?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I passed my CIMA F1 paper few months back & I had scored a total of 107.

The following was my syllabus grade:-

Regulatory environment for financial reporting and corporate governance (10%) – Not proficient.

Financial accounting and reporting (45%) – Proficient.

Management of working capital, cash and sources of short-term finance (20%) – Not proficient.

Fundamentals of business taxation (25%) – Proficient.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks! It confirms my assumption that you need to focus on the big questions and mostly those two that you got proficient in.

    That’s right.

Try to score well in the financial accounting reporting part and also in the business taxation part.
