    I AM STUDYING F7 & F8 FOR JUNE I PREFER IT THIS WAY AS I WILL BE READING AND COMPUTING FIGURES

    As you progress through your studies towards qualification, you’ll get to realise that the topic of accountancy is really just one big picture. It’s broken down into topics to enable examinations to be specific directed. But there is inevitably a link which joins all the topics into the one picture. auditing and accounting are clearly closely related. bUt so also is the law connected to both auditing and accounting. similarly, corporate governance ( essentially a P1 topic ) has implications for auditing and accounting. F5 and F9 cover topics which an auditor should be aware of and take into consideration when audits are in progress, but they also connect with an accountant’s work in practice where costing methods may be required.

    To get back to your original question, yes, I think that F7 and F8 are an interesting combination. But whichever exams you are attempting, the entire syllabus is intended to be cumulative. That doesn’t mean that Pami Dahl is going to ask you a question about the structure of the Courts ( F4 topic ) in an F8 question. But elements of law certainly may affect an auditing question
