Dear John, I wanted to ask can I use BPP exam kit for practicing P4 for upcoming March attempt, that was valid from September 2016 to June 2017.?
or is it necessary to buy a new one?
And which book out of BPP, Kaplan and Beckers you prefer to read for gaining theoretical knowledge needed for this paper.
January 28, 2018 at 10:28 am #433581The syllabus is not changing and so you can use your existing book.
BPP, Kaplan and Becker are all ACCA approved publishers and the books are all as good as each other 🙂

In recent years, margins have fallen as a result of competition from China and, more importantly, Eastern European countries that have favourable access to the Russian petrochemical industry.
(a) Estimate the weighted average cost of capital and the current entity value for each business, taking into account the impact of the share option scheme and the pension fund deficit on the value of each company.
(8 marks)
(b) Write a briefing paper for management, advising them on:
(i) The validity of the free cash flow model, given the growth rate assumptions made by management for both firms
(ii) The implications of an acquisition such as this for Burcolene’s gearing and cost of capitalAugust 28, 2020 at 4:52 pm #582536You must not type out full questions like this. This is a past exam question and it is copyright of the ACCA – it is against the law for full questions to be posted here because of copyright. (For that reason I have deleted most of it). I have all past exam questions and so you only have to give the name and the date of the exam 🙂 )
Also, why have you posted it? If you are expecting me to produce a full answer then I am certainly not going to!!!
You have presumably found this question in your Revision Kit (because there is no other legal way you could have got it) and so you will also have an answer.
If you say which bit of the answer you are not clear about, then I will explain 🙂
