Sir Article 17 says interim measures of protection may be ordered by either party while arbitration is proceeding. What does interim measures of protection means because it is not stated?
“Interim” refers to the period of time between the dispute arising and the arbitrators reaching a decision. Meanwhile the goods could suffer, deteriorate, become obsolete, shrink, decompose, die … if they were not protected
So, in the interim period following the start of the dispute and the time of the arbitrators’ decision, it may be necessary to protect those goods
OK?
