    Good day tutor,

I noticed that there were a lot of differences between the questions in the BPP revision kit and in the actual past year papers. What BPP does is that it will amend the question ( and name it, for eg, 12/11 Amended) and also write the answers using its own words (it will also make some new points).

But I have a distaste for BPP’s answers because some points it makes rarely make sense and it beats around the bush a lot. Also not to mention the amount of spelling errors in it.

Would you recommend that I do the actual past year papers and ignore the BPP revision kit completely?

    Thank you in advance 🙂

In general the past exams themselves are better, but the problem is partly that there are occasionally syllabus changes (which is why BPP amend the question) and also that some questions set by the previous examiner (before 2010) were very poor questions indeed and the style of the current examiner is completely different.

There are recent past papers on the ACCA website, but not so many. You need to buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers – it contains lots of past questions and answers.
