Is health club membership fee paid by employer a taxable benefit? I am referring to technical article which doesn’t clarify the tax impact for employee.
Example 4:
Emily had her health club membership fee of £710 paid for by Vary plc.
Answer says – ‘The benefit of the health club membership is the cost to Vary plc of £710.’
Yes it is an assessable benefit and as as the answer states the benefit to be assessed on the employee is the cost to the the employer
