Kindly excuse me if it’s too basic or obvious..
If there’s fire in the production plant of the client, can I say that there’s a possibility that all evidence will been destroyed leading to either Qualified or pervasive opinion?
Will the answer change if it was a fire in a place say head office containing accounting records
“If there’s fire in the production plant of the client, …” such a scenario will more likely cause a modification about material uncertainty re going concern
“… if it was a fire in a place say head office containing accounting records” is more likely to cause a disclaimer of opinion dependent upon whether the client has or has not retained back up copies in a remote location … does any client actually do this?
