I have passed all my Acca 14 papers but I have no experience in working. Currently I’m looking for job , but sure what salary I should expect
Since I have passed all my papers , can I consider myself as a part qualified ? Because I see part qualified accountant salary is £25k above . But not sure if they meant people with working experience and pass F9 paper? Or should I consider myself as ACCA Finalist?
Help , Let me know what do you guys think I should expect for my salary in per year ?
November 10, 2017 at 12:01 pm #415092Well I wouldn’t call yourself part-qualified or a finalist, as you have completed all exams. But the trouble is you can’t get your qualification until you’ve done 3 years work experience and completed the PER so you won’t be fully qualified for a while.
Without any experience it’s unlikely anyone is going to take you on at a qualified level salary. I think you could quite easily get a job aimed at someone part qualified though. What area of the UK are you in?
November 10, 2017 at 7:59 pm #415164Hi Chris , thank you for the information. I’m currently based in London , I am looking for a job to finish off my PER and I can be qualified.
I have tried to look for months for part qualified jobs but I didn’t get any reply because they probably expect part qualified to have some experience which I don’t have . So I’m going to trying to look for assistant / trainee position
for someone like me who passed all papers and have no experience , what salary should I expect for my first job ? What should I consider myself as if I’m not part qualified or finalist ?
November 11, 2017 at 11:23 am #415244@angelyne try some of the audit firms in your area. The salary at that level is real crap, but at least you will get the experience needed to start looking for a better job.
November 14, 2017 at 12:13 pm #415712Maybe you could expect a salary of ~25k in London for a part qualified assistant accountant?
November 15, 2017 at 3:26 pm #415981You are a part-qualified accountant and also an ACCA affiliate as you’ve passed all your exams. I agree with alchemist, try audit firms in your area.
November 16, 2017 at 8:36 am #416056@angelyne have you tried signing up with one of these professional services recruiters? I would also suggest you check sites such as icaew jobs and the acca job database.
November 16, 2017 at 9:55 pm #416159Hi
Where are you based? I see a number of candidates with ACCA exams completed but no (or little) experience. They tend to say clearly on their CV that they have passed all the exams. Part qualified means little these days as there is no consistency of use, but I would generally expect 1 year of useful experience/ 18 months overall experience as a minimum.
I would look for some tempting work to get started. Reed and Indeed are pretty good websites to look for work, and I’d try agencies such as Hays.
