Hi sir, in the textbook it’s written as
” Audit software can be either packaged, off-the-shelf software or it can be purpose written to work on a client’s system”
What it means by packaged and can be purpose written to work on a client’s system ?
Packaged, off the shelf can be bougnt (like Word or Excel) qnd used by anyone. It will have to be set up to read client’s data files.
Specially written will be tailor made to read the client’s files.
