Which of the following controls would NOT be designed to ensure the security of confidential information?
1.Storage of sensitive data in locked filing cabinets
2.Remote storage of back-up copies of data
3.Use of a data encryption software package
4.Requiring all staff to sign a confidentiality agreement.

    -The answer is 2
    – What 4 could not be the answer?

Even if the staff behaved as they should, that does not stop other people ‘breaking in’ and accessing information.

Sorry but I am still confused with your answer.

“Even if the staff behaved as they should, that does not stop other people ‘breaking in’ and accessing information.”

-What are you trying to say?

If you want to keep confidential information safe, it is not just your own staff that you need to worry about – it is other people accessing the date that is the problem.
