Hi Sir,
CAATs is the practice of using computers to automate the IT audit processes. I am wondering how CAATs can be examined in P7 paper.
Should it always be referred to where possible in questions that require students to list and describe sources of evidence? Or CAATs will be examined in other aspects in P7 paper.

CAATs are really more of a topic for F8
It’s most unlikely that there will be a question where the main drift of the answer will be CAATs
Far more likely that you may find that you can work reference to CAATs into an answer on evidence (or even on procedures) and it could possibly be worth a mark
As you suggest, if it’s appropriate, bring mention of them into your answer
