    Dear Sir,

I have difficulties to understand the example 5 on page 9.

So if the person doesn’t use their 5000 @) 0% starting rate band on their non savings income then it goes to their non-savings? Is my understanding correct?

Sorry the UK tax system completely new for me, I am from Hungary and living in Ireland.
Please forgive me if my question is stupid.

    Thanks very much,

    Kind regards,

    Katalin

    Dear Tutor,

I’ve listened to your lecture again and now I understood. I am not sure how I missed that part of your lecture because your explanation is very clear and well explained.

Please delete my question if you can.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

    Katalin

No problem Katalin – glad you were able to resolve your query and please do not worry about considering your questions to be stupid – anyone studying a foreign tax system in a foreign language is certain to have queries – good luck with your studies!
