Continuation of sales discount post.
Hi sir, can i just say that the sales staff or a member of the sales team are not senior enough to be given authority for granting discounts beacuse they may award unrealistic discounts resulting in a loss of revenue.
A more senior member of the sales department, such as the sales manager should be given authority in granting all sales discouts.
These discounts should then be authorised by a responsible official such as the sales director.
Sales staff, even junior ones, might be given some discretion to give discounts. However, the process needs to be controlled and supervised by more senior staff.
Okay sir. Got it. Thank you.
