What’s the opening journal entry of creditor? For example, “on 1 April Nor owed Adam $1500.”
Debit – Expense
Credit – Creditor
Once paid:
Debit – Creditor
Credit – Bank/Cash
You dont record any entry for opening balance. An opening balance should be “brought forward” from last year’s ending balance. So it is made up of entries which have already been previously booked .
Please ask this sort of question in the relevant paper forum and not in the general ACCA forum.
