Hi. I would really appreciate your comments and advices.
I have been struggling with P6 (CYP) for so long, i really think i am doing something wrong and cannot figure out what it is, maybe exam technique… So for December 2017 exam im considering taking P5 instead (or maybe i am over-reacting and should continue with P6); I did fine on P3 – i am good with theory; i dont like F5 – at the time i have been struggling with it too!; as result i am not entirely sure if i should consider P5 at all, but I feel like there is no other option.. This is my final paper.
Do you think it is possible to pass P5, relying mostly on theory? (P3 stuff)
Could anyone suggest what material to use for self-study? I will watch all opentuition lectures + revisions + read all its notes, and obviously solve past papers. Would these be enough? or is it a must to read a book as well, like Kaplan?
Would you suggest solving all past paper (incl. old format) or more recent ones, say, from June 2010 onwards? Thanks for advance!
August 23, 2017 at 1:37 pm #403156If I would be at your place I continue doing P6.. I dont know about cyp syllabus but done mine in 3rd attempt.. reason you have to find out where you went wrong and focus on those areas to improve. Like if getting marks in 40s your knowledge is good but implication is a problem ( how to write that gives you a mark).
Secondly P5 is not an easy either if you are good at P3, I scored 80 marks in P3 in Kaplan and was good in F5 too but did not able to clear P5 in 2nd attempt. .. keep in mind its a advance level and not only numeric but an application of real business working knowldge is key to pass this paper too. Dont think it will be easier than P6.
So work hard and work on weak areas and keep focused! And lastly , material on line is suffiecient to get through an exam.
Good Luck!August 24, 2017 at 1:18 pm #403306Thank you for the comment Unsiya! I will reconsider this again!..
