Dear John,
The time taken to produce each of the first four batches of a new product were as follows:
Batch number Time taken
1 100 min
2 70 min
3 59 min
4 55 min
What was the rate of learning closest to?
solution: 100 r2 = (100+70+59+55)/4
My question is why r2? why not r3?
Is it because 1-2-4 doubleing?
Many thanks,
Katalin
1 to 2 is doubling one time.
2 to 4 is doubling 2 times.
Have you watched the free lectures on learning curves?
The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
Thanks John.
Yes, I am watching them and I find them very very useful.
I just wasn’t sure as the question was mentioning 1-2-3-4 so I got a bit confused with the 3 🙂 but now is clear.
Many thanks,
Have a great day.
Katalin
I am pleased that it is now clear 🙂
You have a nice day also!
