Hello, in June exam session 2017 attended F7 exam and got marginal point – 48. I try to be motivated and registered for September exam session hoping to pass.
Please give me advice how to plan my 1 month 1 week study period? I think the reason of last failure was that i was more study text oriented. Also, I’ve got materials valid to June exam session, hope it will be useful for September.
Thanks a lot!
July 31, 2017 at 9:40 am #399675The June material is substantially ok but make sure that you are aware of the new IFRS 16 Leases and that you understand the accounting for the reversal of a previous impairment
Now, what to do for 5 weeks!
Put your study text in a dark room and cover it with all those clothes that you are saving to be worn in Winter
Open your revision kit and practice for endless hours answering objective test questions and mtqs
I don’t know what other demands there are on your time but you somehow need to spend (more) endless hours practicing consolidations, preparation of financial statements for a single entity and cash flows with interpretation questions
To help you in all this, I suggest that you work through all the mini-exercises towards the back end of the free course notes on this site – all of them
These will help you to speed up when it comes to practicing answering the longer form questions
Again, without knowing what other demands there are on your time, I am not able to give you much more guidance save to recommend that you practice, practice and practice some more
Check out the last 10 technical articles for F7 (F7 home page on this site) and watch the revision lectures as I work through past examination questions on consolidations, preparation of financial statements for a single entity and cash flows (you’ll find the revision lectures towards the bottom of the F7 home page on this site)
And, whenever you get stuck, post again on this forum and I shall get back to you
OK?
