Hello,
Would someone be able to explain the answer to the question “What is the maximum length of time I should spend in deciding upon an answer to this question?”
The Answer is .04 of an Hour.
I am not sure why this is in the mock exam? Granted I haven’t fully covered all of OpenTuition’s materials as I am a First Intuition Student so have been using their materials.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
For a two mark objective test question, the correct time allocation is 2.4 minutes (1.2 minutes per mark)
If you spend 3 minutes on each of four 2 mark questions that’s 12 minutes trying to score 8 marks
Now this next bit is not rocket science … 12 minutes is the correct time allocation for 10 marks so whilst you were casually over-running your time on those other 4 questions, you’ve just stolen the time from a fifth 2 mark question
In effect, you are potentially aiming to attempt just 80% of the exam
Of all the things that ANY tuition establishment should teach you, time allocation is (in my opinion!) the MOST important
OK?
(.04 of an hour is 2.4 minutes)
