Hi,iam planning to give this September 2017 attempt since i was exempt from F2 iam finding bit hard to understand this subject.Along with notes and lectures iam also studying from Kaplan tex books as well and in that its starts with revision of F2 topics like standard costing ,flexible budgeting… my question is should i skip this start with next chapter which of absorption costing and target costing or should i study from F2 chapters to get the idea what is all about?

I do revise the important parts of F2 within the F5 lectures. If you are watching the lectures than you do not really need a Study Text – the lectures are a complete free course for F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. Much more important is that you have a current edition of a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – they contain lots of exam standard questions, and question practice is vital to passing the exam.
If you do come across something from F2 in the lectures that you are not clear about, then maybe look back at the relevant F2 lectures. However you are unlikely really to need to do this.
