What are the duties of an Agent towards his Principal
The duties of an agent to the principal include:
a) to act on behalf of and accept the control of the principal
b) to act within the scope of authority or power delegated by the principal
c) to discharge agency duties with appropriate skill, care and diligence
d) to avoid conflict between their personal interests and those of the principal
e) to hand over to the principal all monies collected on principal’s behalf without undue delay
As a matter of interest the duties of the principal to the agent include:
a) to remunerate the agent as agreed
b) to indemnify the agent against all those claims, liabilities and expenses incurred by the agent in discharging those duties assigned by the principal
