I would like to attempt the exam on my own. If I start studying now do you think that will be sufficient time to do the exam? What study tips do you have?

Yes, there is enough time, depending on your other commitments.
The syllabus does not contain a lot of topics that you will not have seen in F5 or P3. However the questions in the exam have a very different emphasis, so question practice is very important.

Well my job is my major commitment, a Monday to Friday 8 to 4.
