I have been making many wrong decisions in life in very important stages, firstly, taking science, secondly, studying up to degree and still hanging right up there. But, I never enjoyed, neither I satisfied even having done Master of Science in Biotechnology from one of the reputed UK uni. Now I am staying in Nepal. Finally, I have obtained some courage to do ACCA, however, neither I have business/accounting background nor I will be taking classes. All I have is the love for accounts (from my high school), and a kind of proud feeling I don’t know for what reasons. You guys are the GURU, can anyone please say, “Yes you made the right decision and you can do it”.

A 30- years old girl(woman?nooooo) does not work much after got Msc from one of mid-reputed(low??) UK Uni and several months hotel management study in Swiss, now hang in around in Africa…..
I decided to take ACCA, because…..my life is too boring? But, I think I will be benefited from it in the future, at least I will get a nooooot toooooo bad job if I back to China one day.
So, yea, high reputation certification in the world, and study a new knowledge systematically, smart decision definitely.
hahaha~October 30, 2017 at 8:24 am #413720@kiranchamling unfortunately no one can tell you whether you made a right or wrong decision. I too studied the sciences and was pursuing my masters in chemistry when I began studying for ACCA. I finished in a relatively short period of time and have been working in audit ever since.
Do I have any regrets in life….many.
Would I have done anything differently……I don’t know. Life is what we make it.
Am I happy as an accountant? Well it pays the bills and has allowed me to find jobs in many locations but bear in mind that most of these are technically entry level jobs when you move from jurisdiction to jursidiction. - AuthorPosts
