I have the below question related to this topic:
1. Is it financial market efficiency or capital market efficiency or stock market efficiency? As mostly it is about share prices.
2. We are only considering the levels of efficiency of the market. Why we are not considering the level of perfectness of the market ? Or both are same?
3. Can finance manager mislead the market by window-dressing?
4. If a capital market is weak form efficient, an investor cannot make abnormal returns by using technical analysis. Correct?
Your comments needed. Thanks.
1. Different words for what are really the same thing 🙂
2. The different between ‘efficient’ and ‘perfect’ is explained in Chapter 2 of our free lecture notes.
3. Yes! (because there is not a strong form efficient market)
4. Correct 🙂
