Hi Sir,
I’m seeking for your technical advices.
I do exercises checking the time, and I still struggle to do it on time.
I need a big 15mn to read the questions and the text of question 1 (mainly when it has 3 pages), and 10mn for the other questions of 25 marks.
So with the time left, I write everything I can as quick as possible (so don’t even have time to think and plan without writing).
When I analyse my answers, I don’t have enough marks mainly because there are not enough points written, because I was out of time.
I try to write a bit less, but still it’s not enough, and I’m afraid not to write enough anyway.I know your recommendations are:
-To read questions
-Plan the answers (I prepare key points to look for, if I already know what model to use)
-read the text and make some notes
-and read again if neededI tried once or twice to read more quickly, then I missed too many key informations in the text, then when trying to answers questions, I had to read again, so I lost more time.
I don’t know if you have tips on that for me, but anything would be welcome.

Up to 15 minutes is fine for reading and planning the 50 mark question. As you say, if you try to speed up reading you will miss points or not properly understand the information. Write notes in the question margin as you read.The plan must be very much an outline – just a few headings.
Then concentrate on writing efficiently: use paragraphs with a couple of sentences in each paragraphs. DO NOT EXPLAIN MODELS unless specifically asked to (unlikely). Ensure that the paragraphs are accurately focussed at solving the question.
For 10 marks you should be trying to write at least one side.
Remember that the model answers are much more detailed than you can hope to produce in the exam
