    Dear Sir,

Why is “Std quantity Std mix” x136000(Actual Production) instead of x120000(Budget Production)

I thought actual quantity = actual production?
    Thanks in advance!

But for all cost variances (not just mix and yield) we are comparing actual with standard for the actual production. We never use the budget production – if we produce more than we will need more material, even if everything went perfectly.

I do suggest that you watch my free lectures on this.
