1)model paper 2 how to find how many extra units can be produced if 10 extra units T &M are used??
2)in model paper 3 ,q19 if an extra stylist is employed total hours gona be 9600 ,this I get but how we get to know which is the next bottle neck activity .which amount it is measured against to know the bottleneck?
January 31, 2017 at 7:58 am #3703301) In Mock exam 2, there are 32 questions. Please say which question you are referring to.
2) We look at the maximum cuts and treatments that each type of employee can do, and whichever is the smallest is the bottleneck.
At the moment, senior stylists as the smallest for both and are therefore the bottleneck for both. With 9,600 hours, senior stylists would still be the smallest and therefore the bottleneck for treatments, but junior stylists become the smallest and therefore the bottleneck for cuts.

January 31, 2017 at 3:45 pm #370385M is the bottleneck resource and therefore it is only the extra 10 hours of M that is relevant.
Y has the highest TAR and therefore the extra 10 hours should be used to make Y.
January 31, 2017 at 5:12 pm #370404Sorry I didn’t get you,how many units can it be produced if extra 10 hours used! how to figure out that extra produce?
February 1, 2017 at 8:00 am #370458But the BPP answer explains this!!! Since each unit of Y take 30 minutes on machine M, and extra 10 hours means they can produce an extra 20 units. (20 units x 0.5 hours = 10 hours!)
February 1, 2017 at 1:33 pm #370493why don’t we consider X ? Cant we make both of these x and y with extra hours.I am struggling to understand .Such a question was asked in previous exam regarding cupcakes in cafeteria .I couldn’t do well because of this so I am asking you again until I get perfect understanding .Hope you don’t mind and unfortunately answer is not there in my book
February 1, 2017 at 3:59 pm #370584This is throughput accounting and therefore we prefer to do the product with the highest TAR.
(If you are using a legal copy of the BPP Revision Kit, then why do you not have answers?)
February 2, 2017 at 4:46 am #370697aha.ANSWER is only 20 units of y no explanation .Ok i get it highest TAR..
