Hi all,
Just wanted to know from your experience whether there are any difference in job opportunities or salary packages when applying as an affiliate compared to applying as an ACCA member?

AdityaVague question. However an affiliate is someone who is just exam qualified but has not demonstrated they have gain sufficient practical experience to operate at the level of a member. As a result, there generally is a difference in the opportunities and pay scale.
Thanks for the reply. Will try to be more specific. I have practical experience and now exam qualified, then will you still say there would be difference in opportunities?
Don’t get me wrong I am still open to becoming a member, but would there be any difference considering my situation (i.e having gained the practical experience).
I think an employer would question why you didn’t join. Once a member you commit it following the ACCA ethics and CPD and not joining if you’ve the experience looks odd.
The number of people at my employer who complete ACCA or CIMA and have enough experience but put off PER and membership is odd. After years of exams membership was surely the goal…
