    how do i calculate average labour rate of direct labour hour from the percentage given per labour hour

    I cannot possibly answer without seeing the whole question – there is not a standard rule!

    for example when they say average rate of direct labour will be 48% per labour hour what do they mean

    On its own it does not mean anything – it depends on the rest of the question

    You are asking ridiculous questions! Obviously the question will give enough information to be able to calculate the purchase price.

    If you are asking about a past exam question or a question in the current edition of the BPP revision kit, then tell me which question and then I will try and help.

    also i have encountered problems in getting the purchasing price for raw materials since it is not given in the question.

    plus i dont understand when they say factory overhead will be applied to production at a rate of 40% per hour..please help me in solving these three issues.
