Dear sir,
I am actually new to the f4 paper. I just want to know what’s the difference between the “ACCA F4 English variant” and “ACCA F4 Global variant”.Thanks.
December 17, 2016 at 7:18 am #363882In the English variant there is a lot more emphasis on contract law and very, very little on International law
In the Global variant there is heavy emphasis on arbitration, international contracts, international sale of goods
What is of probably more relevance to you is the question of your ambitions for the future!
Do you hold out any aspirations to move to the UK and practice as an auditor / accountant in your own name (as distinct from working for an established firm)
If in fact you do have that ambition of a career in the UK, then it’s the English variant for you
If you don’t harbour those desires, then the choice is yours
As a personal comment, I find the English variant a whole lot more interesting (and fun) than Global
In addition, there are video lectures on this site for around 95% of the syllabus whereas only around 50% – 60% of the Global variant is in the video lectures
