sir can subsidiaries of a parent have their own debt or equity instruments traded in stock market as its implied in IFRS 8 reportable segment definition, and do they have thier own corporate governance arrangements? Like Board of directors?
Yes, and yes
I’m not sure that it’s a common occurrence but it’s certainly possible
Muslim – please don’t replicate your questions – I’ve just come across this one in the P1 forum
Actually sir i was confused where to put the question,my friend said its a p1 question so i did that , im really sorry abt that, so in the standard of ifrs 8 a reportable segment is for example a subsidiary having debt or equity instruments on stock market ? Is this assessment correct?
IFRS 8 is not in the F7 syllabus
