Hi tutor,
Why the fixed cost of $5 per night for providing shelter and $5 per advice session is not included in calculating the budgeted figures ?

They are included!!
Fixed costs are there at 65,000, which is 10,000 shelters at $5, plus 3,000 advice sessions at $5.
Sorry,May I know, is this Woodside charity (JUNE 07 exam)?I have it in Kaplan’s kit and can’t post it (technical problems). The required are:a)Discuss perfornance b)Discuss probkems in not-for-profit organizations
Yes it is Woodside (and don’t post whole questions online anyway because of copyright problems 🙂 )
BPP has amended the original question (and maybe Kaplan has also). BPP’s question requires (a) and operating statement, and discuss the performance, and (b) discuss problems in not-for-profits.
