Sir what will be the treatment of a government grant that is repayable after few years, normally grant may be for expense, or relating to an asset or non monetary assistance and their are various ways for their treatment, but does the way in which we treat them change if its a repayable grant?
Depends on the probability of having to repay!
If it is definitely repayable from the moment it is received ie the grant is in effect a loan, then it would be treated as such
Otherwise, treatment is entirely dependent upon probability
