Sir can you please explain this statement ” Divisionalisation is only possible at a fairly senior level, as there is a limit to how much discretion can be used in the division of work”
The two points in the statement seem to me as in contradict with each other.
Divisionalisation fundamentally alters the shape and reporting structures of an organisation so has to be carried out at a senior level. I think that the sentence simply means that care is needed when setting up divisions and that it will not work if carried out badly.
Oh okay.
Thank you. 🙂
