Sent an application for my p6 revision kit only book and after several days of waiting, I got the response that the total price (after the discount but with postage fee) is actually higher than what I can get through Amazon.
Open tuition, your offer with BPP is laughable and I have wasted few days of waiting instead of getting my materials from Amazon right away.
I live in London so I guess postage costs anywhere else in the UK may be actually even higher… 😮November 6, 2016 at 7:58 pm #347754It is not our offer – it is BPP’s offer to students of OpenTuition!
The offer says exactly what it is – 20% of the list prices plus postage fee.
We do not tell you to buy from BPP – buy from where you want. It might be worth checking however that the books you have bought from Amazon are current editions. Most of the BPP books offered on Amazon are older editions which are of little use for the current exams – expecially, obviously, for Paper P6.
If you live in London then it is ‘laughable’ that you could not be bothered to either go to BPP directly or go to a bookshop, but instead preferred to use the BPP form which expressly mentioned that you would have to pay postage charges!!
As to postage charges elsewhere in the UK being higher – why would you expect this to be the case? The UK Post Office charges the same throughout the UK, and the BPP form states clearly the charge they make for postage and packing throughout Europe.
