I know that I have to cover the full syllabus and I am sure I will do so

However my tutor was telling about how there are some topics which are more important as they appear more often and that they are also more difficult
I remember him mentioning taxation as one of these topics

So what are the topics which are particularly challenging which need extra attention?

Taxation is probably the easiest 4 marks in an F7 exam!

the major topics that will most likely be asked are …

    – consolidations

    – preparation of financial statements for a single entity

    – interpretation of financial statements

For the first 2 of those there are numerous examples on the F7 pages where I have recorded my attempt at past examination questions 1 (consolidations) and 2 (preparation of single entity financial statements)

In addition your time would be well spent working through ALL the mini-exercises towards the end of the F7 course notes

    OK?

(And tell your tutor to “get a grip” – the taxation element of preparation of single entity financial statements is frequently included and is typically worth 4 marks … and it is SO easy!

    Awesome

Um I think I might have misunderstood him and he might be classing it under important rather than difficult aha
Maybe he would want to stress on it because its 4 easy marks

    Thanks for your help
Expect me on this forum a lot more now that the exam is coming up.

Do you have any of the kits which I can reference when asking my questions?

    I have no kits, sorry

But ask away – I can normally find the question if you give me the question name and / or the exam reference
