Statemnt of cash flow

First of all .Thanks for your awesome lectures I am getting more thorough with your lecture than from face to face lectures.

My doubt is in cash flow statement why are adding non cash item .we are making cash flow statement why on earth thereis necessary to add depreciation ,interest expense etc
