Hi
I am giving f5 exam in december. I am really confused that how should i prepare for this exam. The text book is too much to study from. Should i learn stuff from the book?I gave f4 exam by just listening to ur lectures and following your advice that practice is the key and thank you,i passed my exam π looking forward for you advice for f5
Thankyou.
October 26, 2016 at 6:21 am #346048The same applies to Paper F5 π
You should watch the free lectures (with the lecture notes in front of you) – they are a complete course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
In addition you should make sure you have a current edition of a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and attempt every question (learning from you mistakes where necessary).
Any problems, then ask in this forum and I will try and help you.
November 5, 2016 at 5:15 pm #347603Hi,
I have just found this great website and also have my exam in December.
I go to a local college one day a week and finding it a lot to take in. I am currently AAT qualified and ACCA seems a pretty big leap!
At college I have gone through the textbook (Kaplan) once and feel that we now have limited time to study…
Is there any particular chapters you would say are vital to have a good understating of? i wouldn’t say im struggling with anything in particular, i just only have a month to get to grips with all chapters again to be safe and pass.
Thanks
November 6, 2016 at 8:03 am #347648It is too dangerous to concentrate on any specific areas – especially for Paper F5 – because the format of the exam ensures that all topics are examined.
Best is to spend your time watching my free lectures (which if you have already studied everything at college, should not take too long) and most importantly practicing all the questions in your Revision Kit, because practice at exam standard questions is vital to passing the exam. (If you do not already have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, then it is vital that you buy one.)
November 8, 2016 at 8:13 pm #348125Hi John,
Thanks for the advice. I think i will watch a chapter an evening and just almost start again with this material.
I don’t want to be doing any resits, so i will say goodbye to the social life for now!
Thanks again
