October 23, 2016 at 8:30 am #345653There are really three main things to consider.
One is obviously studying. You will obviously have been studying for your previous attempts. Have you watched my free lectures? If not then do so and check that you really do understand the topics.
The second is practice. It is vital that you have attempted every question in your Revision Kit (and attempted them before looking at the answers, and then afterwards learning from any mistakes). Make sure you concentrate on the written sections just as much as on the calculations. If you have already worked all the questions in your Revision Kit then consider buying one from one of the other ACCA approved publishers so that you have different questions.
The third is your approach in the exam. Make sure that your workings are neat and easy for the markers to follow – the marks are for the workings and not for the final answer. Make sure you state your assumptions – there is rarely just one correct answer, it depends on the assumptions made. Watch my free lectures working through several past question 1’s, because in the lectures I discuss the approach to the questions as well as working through the technical content.
