    Hello,

I am planning to attend P6 exam in June 2017. How much time I should spend on studying for this exam? Is it ok if I start in November? It will be my first self-study module.

I work full time and I have other commitments 2-3 evenings a week, along with the planned holiday.

Can you please give me some ideas?

    Thank you.

The sooner the better, I guess… if you start in November you will have plenty of time, so go for it!

I also work full time and so far I have self studied for all the papers using OT material.

For P6 I have purchased a set of video lectures from Kaplan, as well as their study text, which is huge…
The revision kit, on the other hand, is sooo tiny compared to the one for P4.
I will sit them in December (my last 2 papers) but while I am almost there with P4, for P6 I still have to go through all the material….

When I think about it I start panicking!

I am not sure if that is of any help, probably not…

    HI Agnieszka

If you start in November you should be able to cover and practice all the 5 main subjects/Taxes.

However it is very important that you consider that ACCA will change the Syllabus in June16 (unless they extend the current one)

For example my book is for the exam until march 2016 – therefore in June 2017 I expect they will test FY16

So if you can try to sit in March it will be better and honestly nov-march are 4 months and you can do it.

Guys please double check this, but I think the current Finance Act being examined is only examined till March 2016, so just make sure if that is the case, you study using the correct finance act for June 2017.

I have a question too. I notice both BPP & Kaplan revision kit are suitable for P6 (MYR) up to March 2017 only. But when I read up the study guide, it appears that the syllabus will remain the same from December 2016 to September 2017. Am I correct?
In another way which means, if I fail my P6 in March 2017, i will have to purchase a new revision kit but with the same syllabus?
