Hi Sir,
Finally passed F3 (Hooray!!) and i’m going to commence F5 from today (with OT). would really appreciate some words of wisdom as to how the optimal and efficient way to approach these “big” papers would be as iv’e never done these 3 hr 15 min style exams before (in particular F5).
alongside the approach i have two other quick queries 1) I heard the exam consists of 3 sections now. is this true? 2) do i need the study text to pass well? (I have the 2017 edition of BPP exam kit)

With regard to F5, the fact that the paper is longer does not really change the way in which you study for it.
I suggest that you download our free Study Guide first (it is linked from the main F5 page). It has checklists for all the lectures and suggests the best questions to attempt (although the more question practice the better).There are indeed 3 sections to the exam (you can find a specimen paper on the ACCA website) – the first two sections are all multiple choice questions, and the last section is longer full questions.
If you are watching my free lectures then you do not really need a Study Text – the lectures are a complete free course and cover everything needed to pass the exam well.
The Revision Kit is essential because it is vital that you practice as many exam standard questions as possible.If you have any problems then do ask in this forum and I will try and help 🙂
