Hi Mike,
Hope you are well.
I am left with 3 final papers of ACCA- P1, and 2 options. One option paper that i am doing is P4. i am confused whether to do P7 as the second option or not. I was exempted from the fundamental level paper of audit for ACCA and i have studied audits in India over 2-3 years ago.
As I want to finish ACCA by December 2016, I cannot do P5 as P1 & P5 fall on the same date.
Please advise what I should do now, considering that I have finished the P4 lectures and notes and plan to finish the exam kit for P4 in a week.
I have not started P1, but I think I would need 15 days for that as I am a full time student. Similarly I am thinking of taking 15-17 days for P7.
Please advise me on this.Thanks
October 18, 2016 at 10:09 am #344606Also, if I do P7, would the P7 OT notes be sufficient for revision and basic knowledge of audits, as usually I have seen for other professional papers like P2, P4, the fundamental level topics have been discussed properly in their notes.

That would give you a sound basis for moving on to P7
You are asking whether you should take P7 as your second option paper. There really is no choice, is there (unless you fancy a self-studied advanced tax paper!) If you’re aiming to qualify by taking all remaining exams in December, then it has to be P7 with P1 and P4
I believe that you’ll find that success in both P1 and P7 are papers that rely heavily upon a student’s ability to apply common sense and a whole lot of examination technique
Have you got both of those in abundance? Then P1, P4 and P7 is attainable
October 18, 2016 at 7:58 pm #344799Thank you so much Mike for the advice. But do you think it would be practical to watch all F8 lectures and read notes, in such a short period of time?
October 18, 2016 at 10:18 pm #344864I certainly do – you’re a full time student – you can get through those lectures in 2 days max (with effort and motivation)
