I attempted p3 in September and not sure whether pass or fail,I took long time in reading and understanding Q1 but couldn’t understand completely. My problem is that I feel difficult to understand the case when I’m reading it for the first time.how to overcome this problem and how to gain this skill? As i have done 2011-2015 past papers, and I feel that I have learnt those cases.I have read from bpp book and know the models very well.I attempted p3 in March 2016 too but failed.please suggest me some approach. So that if I can’t pass this time and try some new thing.
I don’t understand a case study when I read it first: too much information and tension. Only on my second read do I really begin to take it in.
I always tell students to spend their 15 minutes reading time (though that is now integrated into the 3 hours 15 minutes) concentrating solely on the case study, getting to know and love it. Getting to really understand it. Keep referring back to the requirements to see how those relate to the information in the case. Make notes in the margin of the exam paper. I suggest you do not underline of highlight because you will have to work out later why you did the underlining. If something relates to, say, a substitute product, write ‘substitute’ in the margin with an arrow to the text.
This means that you are much more active when reading. It might take longer, but you will have obtained a much deeper understanding of the question.
