Hi,
Can i first of all say it is brilliant Open Tuition now have a seperate section for CIMA with lectures, study guides , exam questions etc for all levels in the qualification. Do keep up the good work.
Could i request some guidance on how to approach answering questions on the the CIMA objective test ? I took a practice test and didnt finish on time as i had poo time management. Would it be adviseable to answer the ” quick win ” short questions first and leave calculation heavy questions until the end ?

You are absolutely correct, the objective tests are very time pressured. Some subjects being more so than others -but P1 can be particularly difficult.
In the same way that CIMA have updated their syllabus & assessment methods -students now need to update their exam techniques.
Quick-win questions should be answered immediately and longer ones should be flagged to return at the end. It’s part of your exam technique now to immediately recognise which questions are going to bog you down. Stubbornly working through questions in order will be the downfall of many.
The other thing you can do is practice- make sure you do all the objective questions in your exam kit and here online. You’ll start to get quicker and recognise similarities between questions and this will help a great deal for the real exam.
