I confused. Pls help me to explain
– Project vs bz objectives.
In 3rd para, bz case put to built anew centre. In bz case we need cost n benefit will have to be quantified.
All these benefits in figure 1 mentioned also in 4th para that new center attract more customers, cafetaria,…
So its not cleared cut for these two objectives. Off course bfore bz case approved, this ‘new building’ sbe evaluated n required todeliver the benefit at planned time which match bz objective.
I think in this case is two roles post project review n benefit realisation review not counted in one project.
As post project evaluate success of project itsself like finished ahead n w in budget. This is projects objective
Come to benefit realisation review which is used to identified product produced by project (which is bz objective? ) ex income first yr below expectations…So turn back to the role of project sponsor. She need to get report fr post implementation review n benefit realisation review n draw out conclusion that the center not delivering the aniticipate result quite reasonable right?

(a) Analyse how a formal ‘terms of reference’ (project initiation document) would have helped address problems encountered in the project to construct the community centre and lead to improved project management in future projects.
(b) Draft an analysis for the PAA that formally categorises and critically evaluates each of the four sets of proposed benefits defined in the original business case.
I have no idea why you are talking about post-implelentation reviews and benefit realisation.
The ACCA model answer seems spot on to me.

The model answer for a/ is the confusion between project n bz objective of new manager.
I confused as when doing q31 institution of admin account 12/10 b/
Bz case, managing benefit, benefit realisation.So the confution of the role in answer part a (6/12) above is not reasonable?
As when starting project u need to prepare bz case. Bz case also mentioned abt plan for cost n benefit of project.
The answer pointed out that next project should not confuse between these two objectives. But manager is right when she found out that the benefit of new building not realised as bz case. N decided to figure out reason is the supposed way of project manager does.
So to me, seems this two objectives are all project objective. N in answer she did right things. Pls explain for me.May 28, 2016 at 12:28 pm #317719I have no more to say on this.
