Dear All,
RE: December 2014 – Question 3 – Maxwell Part A
Can you please help me how the examiner calculated the following figures below:
Total CO2 Emissions (Million Tonnes)
2.36
9.46
2.76
7.10
0.75
= 22.43.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Raja
Hi,
It is said that 1 station is gonna be closed down e.g coal (small). Therefore we only have 3 stations left. So now we have to use proportions to get the 2.36. I.e
For 4 stations: co2 emissions was 3.15
therefore For 3 stations: (3.15/4)*3 ; Ans is 2.36
Same rule for other co2 emissions. Hope it helped.
