    Hello Mike

    Hope all is well

I would like to know ur advice on how to cover the crucial topics of current issues and ethics. I have three questions:

    1) Is my understanding correct that ethics will be examined in the first question and question 4 will be about current issues?
    2) Could they ask current issues in question 1 or ethics in question 4?
    3) My strategy is first to master all IFRSs and then go on to study current issues and ethics because only after mastering IFRss I would be in a position to analyse them more thoroughly. Is that the right approach?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    1) Correct
    2) Not likely
    3) You may wish to consider the ethics as you work through each individual accounting standard as the ethics question usually involves dealing with a scenario where the accounting treatment has been done incorrectly. As you cover each standard you could try to think about how it could be dealt with incorrectly.

    Thanks
