John,
I trust you’re well…
Can you confirm something for me, I am well into my revision period now working through question after question and I have just complete FLG CO from the ACCA revision text.
The question talks in months e.g. The company gives two months credit to customers however, whist I read this I answered in days 60/365, I am I likely to still get the marks even though the figures are slightly different or would I lose the marks.
The logic was clearly the same as in the question just the answer was slightly different on the numbers…
There was no mention in the question to use days of months and in the examiners comments there was no mention of credit being given if calculated in days rather than in months…
Thanks,

Secondly, if it is a Section B question, then you will get full credit if you worked in days instead of months (assuming that your workings are neat enough for the marker to be able to follow – it is the workings that are marked in Section B, not the final answer.)
However, if it is in Section A, then they do not look at the workings. Most likely there will only be one choice of answer that is anywhere close to your answer (whether days or months) but to be safe – if the question is in months then work in months, if the question is in days then work in days 🙂
