    If you are going to sign up a new supplier then I suppose you could do some research into their reputation. Eg look at their FS and do a search on Google. Perhaps even ask for trade references or examine their products. All of these controls would have documentation to be inspected to test the control.

    sir when is GRN is prepared? after receiving supplier’s delivery note or before?

    why is it necessary to raise GRN? we have received GDN from supplier so isn’t it enough for us?

    A GRN is prepared (or released) when you receive the goods. he GRN is our documentation showing the information we need. the GDN is the supplier’s documentation and might not show what we want to show.

    In practice there is often not much difference.
