Hello there,
I was just being asked by my class mates why I paid the ACCA fees & exemption fees out of my own pockets, when companies pay for the training. I am very new to this whole After-uni life and would like to know whether that is true and whether I can (once I land a job) get a refund or offset against VAT.
cheers
Hi 3lackbill
Is the company paying for your studies?
If yes then you should be able to claim these costs back from them
If no then sadly you will not
Hope this helps
Tax relief would be available as a deduction in computing net taxable on ACCA Subscription if you were employed in a job where this was relevant to your duties of employment. The subscription to ACCA is exempt from VAT.Hope this helps answer your question. If not please feel free to ask for more information.
