Hi all if I start studying now do I have enough time to pass the exam in June?

Also, does anyone have a good study plan from now til June?

    Thanks

You will get some help here:

You should have plenty of time. Aim to leave the four weeks before the exam for revision and question practice.

Thanks for your response Ken, but I can’t view that link you have sent?

Also, I have the Kaplan complete text book and revision kit.

Should I read the whole text book first then do the revision kit in the last 4 weeks?

Or is the open tuition notes which are 600 pages less good enough to revise with?

The link is copied form the first page of the P3 section on this site:

    https://opentuition.com/acca/p3/

so perhaps try it from there directly.

I suggest you listen first use OT notes and lectures. Study a chapter then try one of the questions; it’s important to read theory and see its application together.

Go to the BPP text if you need more detail.

Nearer the exam sate you should be able to alter the balance: less study of npotes and text and more question practice.

All the ones in our notes come up from time to time. That’s really all I could say.

Remember, you will not be asked to describe a model in this exam. Instead you have to apply it to the scenario.

    Hi Ken,

I’ve read and watched the lectures on chapters 1-5 which I think have been very interesting and enjoyable. Would you recommend that I try some questions now or should I finish all the chapters then do questions?

    Thanks

    Roshan

I think it’s important to try some questions as you go along. You can pick from the ones suggested at the end of lectures or download the P3 exam analysis from this site:

    hi Ken,
i am planning to write P3 along with F9, P1, P2 in June and wanted to know what would be the right approach to prepare for this paper? is it calculation based or theory or case study based? also I don’t have any study text for this exam, so do I need to buy one or just a revision kit and OT lectures and notes would be enough?

please guide me how I should begin?

It is now a mix of F5 and new theory.

Attempting 4 subjects will be very difficult. Consider 3 only. P2 requires a lot of detailed learning.

For P3 our notes and lectures are 6 sufficient, but it is vital to buy a revision kit.

    Hi Ken,
    Thanks for your reply.
Okay, so you think I should consider taking 3 exams at a time. I just cleared F7 so I thought it would be a good idea to take P2 as it is an extension of that paper only. Also I think that P1 is a little hard for me with more writing content and no calculations. So i think f9, p2, p3 should be taken. What do you think? Is it possible to clear the three of them together if i use all the material on ot and practice loads of questions?
